弁護士であったロベール・バダンテール（ Robert Badinter、1928年～ ）は、ミッテラン大統領の下で司法大臣を務め、1981年9月に死刑廃止法案を可決したことで知られている。現在はパリ西郊オー＝ド＝セーヌ県選出の元老院議員である。
